Retail Therapy
Looking to shop ’til you drop? We’ve got you covered! In Gallatin, you can find the perfect shopping on the Gallatin Square. You can find Tennessee Honey Boutique, Honey + Suede, Sassy and Brassy Boutique, Perch Home and Hospitality, The Artisan Hatchery, Towne Square Records and Comics, Branded Blossom Florist & Gifts, Stone Harmony, Town Creek Chic, Timeless Treasures, Earth First Plant Co., and The Ramblin’ Bee. When in Hendersonville, you can find many local shops like The Trendy Trunk, Initial This, Bates Boutique, Mainstream Boutique, Shannon’s Boutique, Bink’s Outfitters, Honeysuckle Lane, The Soap Factory, and Miss Ellaneous. You can also find many of your favorite chain stores Hendersonville as well. When visiting Portland, they also have many local shopping treasures. These include Riley Reese Boutique, Occasions Too, and Sarah’s Flowers and Gifts. We encourage you to get around and shop in our local shops because you never know what you may find!
Accommodations
While Sumner County has many hotels, we handpicked these vacation rentals for your girls trip. Each accommodation has their own unique charm. The Cabin at Spring Haven is located in Hendersonville. They can accommodate up to 4 guests, and it has two bathrooms. The cabin is located on the Historic Spring Haven property, and it is just beautiful! Sycamore Springs is an A-Frame home that can accommodate up to 12 guests with 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 2 half baths. The home overlooks the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee in Bethpage. The Dove Cottage at Stay Down on the Farm can accommodate up to 4 guests, and it also features a full kitchen. The cottage sits on 120 acres of peaceful land. The rental is located in Cottontown. Historic Stonewall is a historic home in the heart of Downtown Gallatin. The home can accommodate up to 8 guests. It is located in walking distance to many local shops and restaurants on the Gallatin Square.
Things to Do
Although shopping is one of our favorite activities, we know that isn’t the case for everyone. We selected these activities with girls trips on our minds. For the outdoorsy ladies, we suggest you book a trip with Nashville Sup & Yoga for your opportunity to paddle on Old Hickory Lake! Simply rent a paddle board or kayak, but we suggest that you book a yoga session to make the perfect group activity! If you don’t want to get your hair wet, you can also take in the beautiful scenery Old Hickory Lake has to offer by booking a cruise on a floating tiki bar with Cruisin’ Tikis. They offer many packages that can accommodate your group. You bring your girls and the drinks, and they will bring the fun and a captain! If you want to enjoy the lake all day, you can also rent a boat for your group with Hunter’s Lake Rentals. This is the perfect activity for a large group as you can choose from a variety of boats. Perfect way to bring on the fun in the summer! For the indoorsy ladies, we do have some activities for you. You can visit Pinspiration to create an art project, and you can bring in your own wine with a small corking fee! This makes the perfect activity for laughter and catching up within your group. Another indoor activity we suggest is booking a spa day at Salt MedSpa Halotherapy with your group. It’s the perfect way to relax on your trip!
Where to Eat
Did you think we could forget about our amazing dining options? Of course not! Sumner County is full of flavors from various cuisines. We could confidently recommend all of our restaurants, but once again, we chose these with your girls group in mind. BYH Kitchen & Bar, located on the Gallatin Square, is a perfect option for your girls trip. They serve unique charcuterie boards and delicious cocktails. Whether you’re looking for brunch or dinner, they have your needs covered! Another great option is 5 Chefs in Portland. They serve delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches that make the perfect lunch. You’ll also want to leave room for a piece of one of their delightful cakes. You can also shop at Occasions Too, which is located inside the restaurant. If you’re wanting a fine dining experience, you’ll need to check out Rosie Food & Wine in Hendersonville. You’ll want to make a reservation, but this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a nice evening with your girls and a glass of wine! Another great lunch option is The Chocolate Covered Strawberry in Gallatin. They serve soups, salads, sandwiches, and cocktails in a beautiful, historic home. We couldn’t recommend these restaurants more, and we know you’ll enjoy any that you may choose!

Looking for fun places to have a drink? We have several options for your group in Sumner County. If beer is your thing, we have several breweries you’ll want to check out. Half Batch Brewing in Hendersonville brews delicious beer loved by many locals, and you can enjoy trivia on Thursday nights! Big Trouble Brewing Company is located off the Gallatin Square. They have 12 taps of house made beers and seltzers, a variety of food options, and games. TailGate Brewery is a popular brewery that has many locations throughout Tennessee. They have 22 beers on tap, and they also have a full kitchen for dining.
If beer isn’t your thing, that’s okay! Located in Hendersonville, Edit Hendersonville is a French Polynesian inspired café and cocktail bar. They offer foods for light dining, and they are open until midnight on the weekends. Perfect for a girls night out! You can also visit Sumner Crest Winery in Portland. You can take your girls in for a wine tasting, but please be aware that some of the more exclusive tastings are by reservation only.
