Sumner Fest: Hot Air Balloons and Family Fun

Sumner Fest, held on the banks of Old Hickory Lake at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, is a free family-friendly festival highlighted by glowing hot air balloons that delight the crowd.

During the festival the park’s pavilion provides tons of live music for families against the stunning background of Old Hickory Lake!

Family-friendly activities are part of the fun at Sumner Fest! Free fun includes face painting, hair spraying, and trolley rides! For a small fee, little ones can participate in the Kids Zone, which includes knockerball, mobile escape games, and pony rides!

Delicious food options to dine on are available for purchase at Sumner Fest thanks to the food trucks that come to serve up eats!

Sumner Fest also hosts several hot air balloons and as night falls, the balloons glow for festival-goers to admire! Tethered balloon rides are available for a nominal fee to guests.

Sumner Fest is held annually at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville; this year’s festival will be on August 10, 2019, from 4pm-9pm. Admission into the event is free and guests are encouraged to bring seating to watch the balloons.
