Nashville Symphony Plays Free Concert at Historic Rock Castle

May 30, 2019

On the banks of Old Hickory Lake sits Historic Rock Castle, a stately home that was completed in 1796 – the same year that Tennessee became a state! The house is nestled on beautiful, expansive acreage and for one summer night, the grounds are used to host an amazing, free concert performed by the incredible Nashville Symphony as part of their Free Community Concert Series!

The public is invited to bring seating and settle in for a night of breathtaking music under the summer evening sky! This year’s concert at Historic Rock Castle will be held on Tuesday, June 11, at 7:30pm, but come early to find a spot and enjoy pre-concert live music and fun!

Be sure to come prepared for summer temperatures in Tennessee! Food and beverages will be for sale at the event, but guests are welcome to bring in their own eats and drinks. And dogs are welcome at the event so long as they remain leashed at all times and dog owners are responsible for picking up pet waste.

A benefit boaters can enjoy is that the Nashville Symphony sets up speakers on the banks of Old Hickory Lake at Historic Rock Castle, so boaters are welcome at the concert!

The Nashville Symphony’s “Instrument Petting Zoo” is a huge hit with kids, allowing them hands-on experience to understand the instruments!

Entertainment before the show features talented musicians and singers serenading the crowd.

And then, the Nashville Symphony takes their seat and the magic of symphony music begins!

Be part of this amazing summertime memory with the Nashville Symphony at Historic Rock Castle on Tuesday, June 11, beginning at 7:30pm (be early for seating and parking).
