Ragnar Relay, out of Salt Lake City, Utah, with the support of Heritage Law Group of Gallatin, Tennessee, announces its newest trail running event in 2020 to be held at the famed Lock 4 Park in Gallatin, Tennessee.

Enjoy live music with Rockland Road.
Ms. Emmett's Legendary Kitchen will have their food truck set up on Main Street with food for purchase. Bring a chair or rent one for $2.

There will be hand sanitizer stations located on Main Street, Social distancing is encouraged, family groups should socially distance as they are able. Masks are not required, but are encouraged for those who wish to wear them.

Rockland Road is many things. It’s a street near Nashville. It’s a studio where countless hit records have been recorded. It is a crossroads where country, gospel, pop, R&B and Americana music has thrived for years. It is a self-contained vocal-driven melodic band with a heritage as rich and authentic as its namesake. Six members, all sharing the last name Martin; representing four generations of musical heritage; all vocalists who play twenty-three instruments between them. Rockland Road is a powerhouse of soulful vocals blended with a pure, exuberant joy worthy of the literal and figurative blood that flows through their veins making them a family.

Rockland Road is a favorite secret within the industry. As they prepared to enter the studio for their forthcoming project, they were pitched songs from every direction. One song in particular, “Caroline,” slated to be their first single releasing on December 27, bombarded them from all sides. All unbeknownst to one another, no fewer than three friends in the industry considered them the only act that could give this song the life it deserved.

This event was originally scheduled for April 25th, but due to COVID-19 has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 26th.

About Dave Kennedy

After years of paying dues everywhere from dives to theaters, Dave Kennedy descended on Nashville like whirlwind. With a voice big enough to grab your attention and songs great enough to hold it, the singer-songwriter and East Tennessee native has spent years developing his craft both as a performer and prolific writer all around the Southeast, and is determined to take his place among the new wave of Americana and more traditional country music artists.

In 2018, Kennedy was hand-picked by Grammy winner, Travis Tritt, to be on his team to compete on the USA Network's "Real Country" also featuring Shania Twain and Jake Owen. You may have also seen him touring with Drake White.

While he may be a relatively new name in Nashville, he has already written and recorded two full albums with his band Kelsey’s Woods and makes the rounds and you can often find him teaming up with his songwriting friends, like Channing Wilson, for some Southern Rounds.

About Channing Wilson

From a small town in Northwest Georgia, Channing Wilson learned about real life American good times and hardships. He's not afraid to tell you about it either.

Wilson's songs have been recorded by artists like Tyler Farr, Luke Combs, Jason Eady, and more. Wilson was a co-writer on Combs' fourth number one hit, "She Got the Best of Me", and has also performed on the Grand Ole Opry with Combs.

He has shared bills with so many of his heroes such as Billy Joe Shaver, Steve Earle, Robert Earl Keen, Tony Joe White, Chris Knight, Dale Watson, and many more including going out on the 2012 Country Throwdown Tour. He currently has an artist/publishing agreement with Warner Chappell and Low Country Sound (Grammy award winning producer Dave Cobb).

About Thistletop Inn:

Rich with historic architectural artifacts, Thistletop was constructed by celebrated Master Builder, Braxton Dixon, whose iconic list of clients includes Johnny and June Cash, Roy Orbison, Marty Stuart, Connie Smith, Trisha Yearwood, and Tammy Wynette, to name a few.

It was named Most Charming Small Town Bed and Breakfast by Readers' Digest in 2018 and voted #2 Best Nashville Inn / B&B in Readers' Poll by the Nashville Scene, 'Best of Nashville in 2018.

Curated by Luis R. Cancel

Exhibition Tour Organized by Carole Sorell, Inc.

A Bountiful Trinity: The Works of Romero Britto is an exhibition that brings together sculptures, paintings and works on paper by one of Brazil’s most recognized international artist. Born in Recife in the northeastern part of Brazil, Britto is a self-taught artist who has risen from humble origins to international acclaim for his colorful and optimistic creations.

A Bountiful Trinity is organized around three major themes that often appear in Britto’s oeuvre:

Homage to Art History
Nature
Portraits

Luis R. Cancel, an international curator and former Director of The Bronx Museum of the Arts, has selected 43 major works by Britto that represent each of the themes. He has written an essay for the exhibition that explores how Britto has examined and been inspired by major artists and chapters in art history; by nature and its flora and fauna and by the most elemental of human emotions – one’s love for family and friends.

The exhibition essay also provides insights into Britto’s creative origins as illustrated by this selection:

“As the public observes the prolific creative output of Romero Britto, it may be easy to lose oneself in the sea of celebrity portraits or the menagerie of beasts, plants and insects, or even in the wide range of objects – from airplanes to backpacks – that carry his signature style. So it may help us to heed the words of Britto’s Godfather, the noted Sociologist Gilberto Freyre who wrote a letter of introduction for Britto in 1983 as he was embarking on his first trip to Europe from his native Pernambuco, Brazil:

“Immensely intuitive, perceptive and receptive, the contact with respectable foreign environments will be extremely beneficial and will stimulate the maturing of his remarkable predisposition to the visual arts.”

“Those prescient words of introduction by Dr. Freyre may have been a solace to the young, effervescent Britto who was nevertheless venturing out into the world alone.”

The exhibition provides a clear path for museum audiences to gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of the subjects that have inspired the artist over several decades, while at the same time, immerse them in a world of youthful energy and bright colors.

PUBLIC EXHIBITION OPENS
October 10, 2020 – December 31, 2020

The exhibition is FREE and open to the public. All ages are welcome.
Donations are welcome and appreciated.

Ragnar Relay, out of Salt Lake City, Utah, with the support of Heritage Law Group of Gallatin, Tennessee, announces its newest trail running event in 2020 to be held at the famed Lock 4 Park in Gallatin, Tennessee.

Ragnar Trail Tennessee Sprint will be the first of its kind as a newly developed “trail sprint” format. Traditionally, Ragnar trail teams of 4 or 8 runners run three predetermined loops over two days. The new “sprint” format will be a shortened one-day format where teams of 4 or 2 will complete 2 predetermined loops.

“It is a bite-sized version of the full trail relay with all same great elements of team, fun and challenge,” said Jennifer Black, VP of Marketing at Ragnar. “There is no shortage of beauty or team bonding over the 40-ish miles of trail.”

CEO of Heritage Law Group and long-time Ragnar enthusiast, Jake Mason noted, “I’m thrilled to be able to partner with such an amazing company as Ragnar in order to bring a remarkable event to Gallatin, where my family and I live, work, and play. I’m elated to be presenting this first-time event in Gallatin.” He continued, “It supports Heritage Law Group’s advocacy for the health of our community by encouraging involvement through running and sponsorship, and my personal pursuit of contributing to keep Gallatin the most wonderful city in which to live.”
