Fire on the Water Music Festival*
August TBD 2021
Lock 4 Park
1598 Lock 4 Road, Gallatin, Tennessee 37066

With a panoramic view of Old Hickory Lake, fire and circus entertainers, craft brews, food trucks, and an intense lineup of artists will be the event of the year in Sumner County.

Just north of Nashville, Sumner County was home to the likes of Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, and Carl Perkins. It was normal (and still is) to run into big names in the entertainment industry around town. The tradition of making music is still part of life along the 400 miles of Old Hickory Lake’s shoreline. The name “Fire on the Water” began as a nod to the great Johnny Cash and his song “Ring of Fire.” Cash lived on Old Hickory Lake and is buried just ten miles from Gallatin. While the reference to Cash slipped away as the festival evolved, the fire part stuck and was solidified when a circus troupe in Nashville surfaced who specialize in fire entertainment.

Admission: Tickets start at $35+
